This new special edition watch is equipped with a classic 47 mm diameter Luminor 1950 case, made of titanium, which is sensitive, corrosion resistant, and 40% lighter than steel. To further reduce the weight of the watch, Panerai internal innovation hollow case, and sketched out a very complex geometry while retaining excellent waterproof case (up to 10 bar, equivalent to about 100 m depth) and anti-tensile Twisted strong qualities. This technology, called "Direct Metal Laser Sintering," uses titanium metal powders to build three-dimensional parts layer by layer using optical fiber laser technology. Each layer is only 0.02 mm thick and is fused to solid titanium. Finished products cannot be made using traditional techniques, they are lighter in weight and have a uniform appearance.

The P.2005 manual winding mechanical movement with the Panerai patented tourbillon debuted in the P.2005/T position. The movement is hollowed out and equipped with a lower density titanium bridge plate and splint to replace the commonly used but doubled density brass, making the movement 35% lighter than the P.2005/S hollow movement.
